Holidays are upon us and we are very thankful for good health,
food upon our table,
a warm home for our family and your support to make the same possible
for the needy in our community
Looking for that perfect gift? With the holiday season approaching, we encourage you to remember those who are in need in our community. Let's bring some holiday cheer to those under our care so that they too can experience the spirit and magic of the holiday season.
Send a holiday greeting card c/o Polish Assistance, 15 East 65th Street, New York, NY 10065 and we will redistribute them among our recipients
Please consider making a donation in the name of those on your holiday list. We will send them a beautiful holiday card expressing your generosity and the assistance that will be provided in their name.
We appeal to you to be generous by donating today and attending our upcoming main fundraising event. While a fundraiser such as the Bal Polonaise is an opportunity to socialize and celebrate each other, more importantly, it is a major source of fundraising for Polish Assistance. Please support those who fell on hard times in our Polish community.
The official poverty guideline starts at $11,670 per person and $15,730 of income for a family of two, we sadly report that most of applicants for our assistance meet this criteria. In a majority of the cases, these individuals are seniors with serious health issues that have no means of supporting themselves. Once an applicant becomes our beneficiary, we are often committing to his/hers support for their remaining lifetime as these individuals have little chance for quality of life improvement. Again, your donations are the mainstay of our ability to help those in need. Polish Assistance recipients receive assistance in meeting daily expenses, usually to supplement low social security payments or to cover extraordinary medical bills.
To provide assistance, primarily financial, to persons of Polish origin who are at risk or needy.
