Advisory Board Members
Marissa Goba has joined the Board of Directors in 2018 after many years of supporting various Polish culture organizations. Following in her family’s footsteps, she is passionate about giving back to the community and growing awareness of Polish Assistance through social media and digital communications. She graduated from Fairfield University and studied at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She is an active member of the New York Junior League and is a Young Fellow at the Morgan Library in NYC.
Russell Skibicki has been active in various positions in Polish Assistance for the past 15 years. He is a third generation member. Both his grandmother, Jadwiga Palade, and his mother, Eva Skibicki are long term members of the Board of Directors. Russell graduated with a Master of Arts in International Business from Hough Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida and is currently at Raymond James in St. Petersburg, Florida where he consults Financial Advisors on succession planning and acquisitions. He also coaches Lacrosse and is a Board Member of the South Tampa Sticks Your Lacrosse League.
Karlie Slowiak joined the Advisory Board in 2019 and is passionate about growing Polish Assistance’s member base to increase community impact and serve those in need. Karlie started her career at Raymond James in Corporate Development where she worked alongside executive leadership to analyze mergers and acquisitions and other strategic growth initiatives. She now works for Conagra Brands located in Chicago IL where she is the central resource for pricing analysis across 30+ brands. Karlie attended the University of Miami and enjoys running, cooking and volunteering at the Humane Society in her free time
